From the Mouthes of Babes One of my good friends is a music teacher. For an intro music quiz to one of his 7th grade classes he asked "What is Opera?". One response read as follows.

"Opera is when someone sings as high as they can for as long and as loud as they can."

That could quite simply be the best quote about opera of all time. I think I'll make it my motto.
