Archive!
I finally got around to finishing the archive section. Currently it is sparse, as I do not have a vast resume behind me. That, however, is in the process of changing. With each notch I put on my opera belt, so to will the archive grow bloated with tidbits of Hanson history. Please check it out and let me know what you think. Leave me any comments about how you think I could improve the site. Thanks!

New Bio
I have recently updated my bio in anticipation of the La Boheme this coming fall. I was prompted to do so because Orient Heights has made a set of pages for the singers on their site with our bios. Everyone in the crazy world of the interwebs knows that more places linking to your site = greater presence.
In other news, I am starting rehearsals for the Cenrentola scene tomorrow. I had to miss the first official rehearsal last weekend due to the concert in NH with Craig and Dan. I am both nervous and excited to sing this role. Rossini is a bit different from what I normally sing and this scene is classic Rossini. I swear that I flipped at least 3 pages through the music before I got to the end of the first measure. This next week will be very busy as we rehearse most of the nights in preparation for the show next Saturday. Once the show is over, rehearsals for Boheme and Fritz start and there goes the rest of the year! - Gregory - Thursday, September 06, 2007

Luciano Pavarotti died today at the age of 71 after a battle with pancreatic cancer in his home town of Modena, Italy. Today the world is mourning the loss of a great tenor. Rest in Peace Maestro, we will always remember you well.

I am the Poet
This past friday I had a big audition for Orient Heights Music. I am pleased to announce that I will be singing the role of Rodolfo in act one of La Boheme and the title role in the third act of L'amico Fritz. This is very exciting as I mentioned in my last post, because the first act of Boheme is my favorite by far. I had also mentioned that Daniel Draper was auditioning. He has been given the part of Marcello in Boheme and David in Fritz. The four performances at the last two weekends in October and the first two weekends in November. Updates to the schedule page to come.
I am very happy to have this part and I will be working very hard over the coming months to make sure to sing my best. I am now scheduled pretty full up through December, so I will be hanging off of auditions for a bit. As more information comes in regarding the upcoming vocal competition I will be in, the BSR select audition that I got called back for, Borsa, Rodolfo and Fritz, and the concerts next spring, I will update it here. If you found this page, leave some comments about who you are and how you found me. - Gregory - P.S. Video clips from this past weekends concert with Craig and Dan are coming. I just need to get a minute to edit them. Previous Posts
